He holds degrees from The University of
Tennessee at Chattanooga (B.M. in
Trombone) and The University of
Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music
(M.M. and D.M.A., both in Trombone). Dr.
Warner’s primary instructors include
James Ryon, Allen Ladner, Harry Maddox,
Tony Chipurn, and David Vining.
From 1986 to 1997, Warner was a member
of the King’s Brass, a nine-member,
sacred brass, summer touring ensemble,
with which he has recorded four albums.
His arrangements can be heard on several
of the group’s recordings. A frequent
substitute with the Huntsville (Alabama)
Symphony Orchestra he has also performed
with the Dayton (Ohio) Philharmonic, the
Nashville Chamber Orchestra, and the
Northern Kentucky Symphony.
A native of Hanover, Pennsylvania,
Warner moved to Chattanooga in 1984 to
begin his collegiate studies. In
addition to his teaching at Lee
University, he has taught Applied Low
Brass at The University of Tennessee at
Chattanooga, Southern Adventist
University, Covenant College, and Cadek
Conservatory. From 1989 to 1996, he
served as Manager of the Chattanooga
Symphony Youth Orchestra. |
