Student Life
Dr. Walt Mauldin serves as the Vice
President for Student Life at Lee
University and holds the rank of
Professor of Music. |
Since coming to Lee University in 1989, Mauldin
served as the Dean of the School of Music,
Director of Graduate Studies establishing the
college's first master's degree program (the
Master of Church Music) and founded the Lee
University Honor Choir, Summer Music Camp, Honor
Band, and Chapel Choir. He conducts the
Lee Singers and has toured with this group to
South Africa, England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales,
Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Russia,
China, Korea, Philippines, Bahamas, Bermuda,
Cayman Islands, and Canada. Mauldin is noted as
a speaker, songwriter, arranger, clinician, and
worship leader.
Mauldin's hobbies include both water skiing and
snow skiing, boating, scuba diving,
weightlifting, and team sports. He enjoys
traveling throughout the world and learning
about other cultures. Dr. Walt Mauldin is
married to Dr. Penny Mauldin, Associate
Professor in the Department of Natural Sciences
and Mathematics at Lee University. They
have two sons, Jeremy and Ryan. Jeremy is
attending the Ohio University School of Medicine
in Athens, Ohio and is married to Julie (Davis).
Ryan is majoring in Information Systems at Lee
University and is married to Gabrielle (Ennis).
Ryan and Gabrielle have a beautiful daughter,
Audra Lauren. |
