Ms. Camp, a native of the Atlanta area, is a
graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, and
studied with such teachers and coaches as
Leonard Rose, Lorne Munroe, Joseph Fuchs, Joel
Krosnick, Janos Straker, as well as Martha
Gerschefski of Georgia State University. Ms.
Camp completed teacher training at the New York
School for Strings while studying with Louise
Behrend, a pupil of Shinichi Suzuki, after which
she was a string orchestra teacher for the
Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and the New York
Public School System, where she spearheaded her
own original program. She was also general music
teacher in the Catholic School System in the
Bronx, where she was the director and
accompanist of two all-school music programs.
In addition to teaching, Ms. Camp has played
regularly with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra
since 1997 and is presently a member of the Lyra
String Quartet, Ms. Camp has been teaching
private students of all levels for over fifteen
years. She has had teaching experience in such
school as Old Town Conservatory, Sugarloaf
School of Music, Ken Stanton Music Studios,
Georgia Academy of Music, Georgia State
Preparatory Division, and Great Neck Music
School.
