The Lee University Wind Ensemble is
the primary performing ensemble for all
wind majors and is an auditioned musical
organization of approximately 50
musicians with expectations of the
highest caliber of musical presentation.
The yearly repertoire of LUWE consists
of modern wind and percussion works,
primarily of the 20th Century, chosen
specifically to enhance the evolving
knowledge of the student performer and
future conductor/musician. |
LUWE members are expected to set the highest
ideal and standard of musical excellence through
active participation in rehearsal and
performances. Individual parts are
expected to be prepared for each rehearsal and a
Rehearsal Schedule will be posted at the
appropriate time interval to facilitate that
expectation.
Generally, the Wind Ensemble will present four
concerts on campus during the school year, plus
perform at Homecoming, Honor Band, and Lee Day
Festivities. LUWE will also perform a
short lunch hour ³Brown Bag² concert in downtown
Cleveland late in the school year. |
